Private Drum or Percussion Lesson: Is this your biggest wish- to learn how to play the drums and groove along to your favorite tunes? So here’s your chance to get some professional advice. Each student obtains individual support to achieve his or her personal goals. Step by step, with no pressure, and emphasis on fun! Your child will explore the world of rhythms and cool grooves. Stick control, technique and reading music get explained in a musical context. (Electronic Drum Set used for drum lessons at this time.)
What to Bring: A water bottle, pencil, binder for your music, blank music paper and sticks. Please be on time.
PERCUSSION WORKSHOP: For those who love music and want to explore percussive rhythms in a group with their peers, the percussion workshop is the place to be! Your child will learn how to play along to tunes on a Cajon and have loads of fun! Consists of building your own instrument and decorating it. After making your very own Cajon, you will learn how to play easy rhythms- PLUS play along to a pop/rock tune!
Instructor: Oliver Braun was born in St. Wendel Germany and has more than 27 years of drumming experience. His roots lie in Big Band and Jazz Music. He is a graduate of “Players School of Music” in Clearwater, FL, where he also teaches during German school breaks. He is also a certified YAMAHA instructor and studied with the greats like Sonny Emory (Earth Wind and Fire), Rick Latham ( Edgar Winter ) and Gumbi Ortiz ( Al Di Meola ).
In his free time, Oliver likes to go trout fishing with his son and cook with friends.
