2024 Outdoor Recreation Cycling Challenge

The 2024 Outdoor Recreation Cycling Challenge is happening from May 1 to Aug. 31. Participants must sign up through Baumholder or Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation. Registration fee is $50.

• Open to all personnel who are authorized to use garrison/community MWR Facilities
• Sign up-fees of $50 enters participants into the program.
• Registration begins April 1 – must visit Outdoor Rec Facility to sign up.
• Challenge runs from 1 May 1 to Aug 31.
• Participants will have 4 months (120 days) to achieve the distance of 1000km’s (621 Miles) by riding their bicycles in an outdoor setting while tracking their distance.
• Tracked distances must be easily verifiable by ODR personnel.
• Electronic tracking devices are encouraged (Apps)
• At the end of the challenge, or upon completion of the distance goal, participants will be eligible to receive a commemorative cycling jersey signifying their successful completion of the challenge.
• All distance trackers must be submitted by September 3, 2024, to qualify.
