Our popular trip to the 191st Munich Oktoberfest combines the excitement of the festival with the comfort of the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, creating the perfect weekend getaway.
Your trip begins Friday morning with a comfortable coach departure from your choice of Pulaski or Smith Barracks, arriving in Garmisch by midday. After checking into the Edelweiss Lodge, your afternoon is free to explore the stunning Bavarian Alps. You could ascend the Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak, or hike through the breathtaking Partnach Gorge before enjoying a relaxing evening.
On Saturday, our private shuttle will take you directly to the Oktoberfest grounds, allowing you to enjoy the festival at your own pace without worrying about the drive. After a full day of festivities, the shuttle will return you to Garmisch for a comfortable night's rest. You'll wake up refreshed on Sunday for the relaxed journey back to Rheinland-Pfalz, arriving home in the afternoon.

Your journey begins with an early morning coach departure from your choice of Pulaski or Smith Barracks, arriving in the scenic town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen around midday. You can store your luggage at the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort and spend the afternoon exploring the Bavarian Alps. Consider a trip up Germany’s highest peak, the Zugspitze, or a visit to the breathtaking AlpspiX viewing platform. After settling in for the evening, you'll be well-rested and perfectly positioned for Saturday's main event.
Saturday: The 191st Oktoberfest
Following breakfast, our private shuttle bus will transport you to Munich for the world's largest and most famous folk festival. This tradition began in 1810 to celebrate a royal wedding and has been an annual highlight ever since. Spend the day experiencing the vibrant energy of the festival grounds, from the world-famous beer tents and thrilling carnival rides to the delicious food stands and lively music. At the end of the day, our shuttle provides a hassle-free return to the Edelweiss Lodge for another comfortable night.
Sunday: Relaxed Return
After a hearty breakfast, your coach will begin the comfortable journey back to Rheinland-Pfalz. Expect a relaxing trip, arriving at your original departure point in the afternoon.

Cancellation Policy:
- 30+ days prior to departure: 10% cancellation fee.
- 7 to 29 days prior to departure: 10% fee + $360 hotel cancellation cost.*
- 3 to 6 days prior to departure: 50% fee + $360 hotel cancellation cost.*
- Within 2 days of departure: 100% cancellation fee (no refund).
*Hotel cancellation cost is refundable only if your room can be resold.
- In addition to the fees listed above, in the event that a customer cancellation results in a fee charged to Outdoor Recreation, regardless of the date of or reason for that cancellation, the total sum of those fees will be passed along to the customer.
