Thursday: Fly to Malta

Forget the hassle of airport parking or expensive shuttles to Frankfurt Airport. Army Outdoor Recreation's airport shuttle is included in your package, picks you up at your choice of either Pulaski or Smith barracks, and takes you directly to the terminal. This afternoon, you'll arrive in Mellieha, where you will check into a 4-star superior, all-inclusive resort. Located just steps away from Mellieha Bay Beach, Malta’s largest sandy beach, recognizable as the filming site for many scenes in the Brad Pitt movie “Troy”, your stay includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and more. All you need to do is relax and enjoy Easter Weekend in Malta.

Friday: Free Day

Easter Weekend in the Maltese archipelago is truly special. With average daily temperatures hovering around 70 degrees, the island blooms. While some shops and businesses might observe holiday closures today, the Maltese people are known for their unique holiday traditions that fill the air with excitement during this festive period. Expect to see lively parades and elaborate costumed processions, with one of the most stunning taking place in Valletta, the capital of the Maltese Islands.

Saturday: Free Day

Malta truly shines in the spring. Beyond the pleasant temperatures, its clear blue waters beckon. Though the water might be a bit cool for bikinis, it's perfect for wetsuits, making it ideal for underwater explorations. Renowned as a world-class SCUBA destination, Malta offers countless ways to experience its stunning beaches and azure waters. You can dive into crystal-clear coves, venture into sea caves by kayak, or take a leisurely boat cruise to the famed Blue Lagoon, where the vibrant turquoise waters are a breathtaking sight. As evening approaches, the islands continue their festive spirit with various events. Mallieha is conveniently close to Popeye Village and the Ferry to Gozo, and Malta’s small size makes taking public transportation around the islands simple and stress free.

Easter Sunday: Free Day

Easter Sunday in Malta marks a vibrant shift to celebration, offering a captivating experience for visitors. The morning is filled with energetic parades, notably those featuring the "Risen Christ," where statues are swiftly carried through the streets to the cheers of enthusiastic crowds. These joyful processions, often accompanied by brass bands, provide a unique cultural spectacle. Beyond these captivating events, the day is perfect for exploring Malta's diverse offerings. Monday: Return to Germany

Your return flight departs in the evening, giving you one last opportunity to savor Mellieha. While some businesses may remain closed today, Mellieha Bay Beach is always open. After a final morning and early afternoon enjoying the springtime weather, you'll return to your starting point in the late evening.

Cancellation Terms: 

  • 10% cancellation fee for all cancellations made on or prior to Wednesday, December 31, 2025
  • 55% cancellation fee for all cancellations made on or after Thursday, January 1, 2026
  • 75% cancellation fee for all cancellations made on or after Monday, March 2 
  • 85% cancellation fee for all cancellations made on or after Wednesday, March 11
  • 100% cancellation fee for all cancellations made on or after Wednesday, March 18
     
  • In the event that a customer cancellation results in a fee charged to Outdoor Recreation, regardless of the date of or reason for that cancellation, the total sum of those fees will be passed along to the customer.
