Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation and Baumholder Outdoor Recreation have teamed up to make it even easier for you to cross items off your European Travel Bucket List. The same adventures begin at your choice of either Smith or Pulaski Barracks.

Known for its medieval architecture and quaint streets, the city of Freiburg im Breisgau is the “Gateway to the Black Forest”. The city’s historic Old Town only enhances the Christmas Market’s enchanting atmosphere. Walking Freiburg’s cobblestone streets, gently illuminated by hundreds of glittering colorful lights, as they wind past historic buildings and beautifully decorated storefronts to get you to the Freiburg Christmas Market, is a fairy-tale-like experience.

Deep in the Black Forest, the Ravenna Gorge Christmas Market is a unique location with its own enchanting ambiance. Nestled underneath the 40 meter high stone arches of the historic Ravenna Gorge Bridge, more than 40 decorated stalls blend seamlessly into the surrounding natural beauty, adding a unique charm to your Christmas market experience. Limited access and low capacity allow this market to maintain a more intimate feel than many larger, more crowded Christmas markets. Whether you are shopping for artisan-made gifts and decorations at the festively decorated stalls, or enjoy local delicacies while sipping on spiced wine, you will enjoy visiting this cozy setting.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations requested 48 hours prior to trip departure will receive a 90% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to departure will receive a 50% refund.
  • There is no refund for no-shows or cancellations made less than 12 hours prior to departure.
     
  • In the event that a customer cancellation results in a fee charged to Outdoor Recreation, regardless of the date of or reason for that cancellation, the total sum of those fees will be passed along to the customer.
