Learn how to safely enjoy a day of paddling with Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation!

On your way to the Bostalsee Outdoor Recreation area in St Wendel, you will be familiarized with canoe equipment and fundamentals, allowing you to get right to business upon arrival and start practicing the skills needed to safely enter, exit, paddle, launch, and recover your canoe. In the afternoon, you will start to apply more advanced skills, including controlled capsizing and recovery. After your day of canoe orientation, you will be ready to take on Germany’s lakes and rivers on your own, or on one of our regular canoe trips

Safety Requirements:

• Minimum age is 5.
• All participants must be able to swim unassisted.
• All participants must wear an approved life jacket.
• If you do not fit in an ODR jacket, you must provide your own

Return: Around 5 p.m.
