Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation and Baumholder Outdoor Recreation have teamed up to make it even easier for you to visit the “most romantic city in the world”!  The same adventures begin at your choice of either Smith or Pulaski Barracks, and an early bird discount makes your day in Paris cheaper too.

Venice is the home of the pre-lent festivities of Carnivale, known in the states as Mardi Gras. While the season officially starts in November, the climax of the season is the weekend leading up to Fat Tuesday. With no tour guide or set schedule to follow, you will be able to explore this living museum however you see fit allowing you to visit the glass museums on Murano, ride a water taxi or gondola in the Grand Canal, or shop on both sides of the Rialto Bridge. Regardless of what you plan for your day, make sure to reserve plenty of time in Saint Mark’s Square, where several Carnivale events will occur throughout the day in a blow-out blast to wrap up the last weekend before Mardi Gras and 40 days of sacrifice during Lent.

Whether you board the bus in Kaiserslautern or Baumholder, you will enjoy celebrating Carnivale in Venice when your adventure begins at Army Outdoor Recreation!

Price:

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations requested 48 hours prior to trip departure will receive a 90% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to departure will receive a 50% refund.
  • There is no refund for no-shows or cancellations made less than 12 hours prior to departure.
     
  • In the event that a customer cancellation results in a fee charged to Outdoor Recreation, regardless of the date of or reason for that cancellation, the total sum of those fees will be passed along to the customer.
