Estimated Itinerary

Thursday: Kaiserslautern to Athens

Bring your suitcases with you when you leave the house  This trip doesn't waste any time getting your long weekend started!  Your flight may be late in the day, but it will put you in position to wake up in a four star hotel in Athens on the first day of spring break.

Friday: Athens

Sleep in a bit this morning and then familiarize yourself with the city on an afternoon tour of Athens. The upper city, Acropolis, invites you to climb to the Temple of Athena, the goddess of war and wisdom and namesake of the city.

Saturday: Free Day or Cape Sounion and Temple of Poseidon

Spend the day enjoying more of Athens, or join us on a visit to one of the major monuments of the Golden Age of Athens, the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion.  Built on top of an even older ruin, the Temple of Poseidon was built during the time of Pericles and the Persian wars.  The ruins of a temple of Athena and an Athenian fortress are also located at the southern most tip of the Attic mainland.
