German Hunting Course-Registration

German Hunting Course in Kaiserslautern

Outdoor Recreation is hosting the German Hunting Course from Feb. 7 to April 20 at Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation, Bldg.  2905 on Pulaski Barracks.

  • Reserve by the first day of class, Feb. 7.

The German Hunting Course is an intensive 8-to-10-week program that covers all facets of hunting in Germany.

  • Cost is $250 and the Hunting, Fishing Sport Shooting (HFSS) fees.
  • Open to hunters ages 18 and older, who are U.S. citizens/I.D. cardholders.

Course participants earn a life-long hunting certification, which is valid throughout Europe.

  • Limited spaces available for this course.

During this course, participants will learn land management, game disease and harvest plans.
Participants must attend all classes offered throughout the week to progress toward certification.

This course involves:

  • Field trips
  • Field maintenance on the reserve
  • Shotgun, pistol, and long gun qualifications.

You will be required to take a German proctored exam comprising of Weapons Safety, Written exam, Oral exam, and Shooting.

Once the exam is successfully completed, participants will be awarded a certificate of completion.

  • FBI Background Check
  • Hunting Registration Form
  • HFSS Membership (Fee associated to length of membership)
