Do you want to get away from your daily stresses and re-connect with nature?  Would you like to test the boundaries of "where man is supposed to be"?  Does it sound relaxing to be able to drift under the water, leaving all your cares and worries on the shore?  Then SCUBA is your answer!  You will experience all this while drifting serenely through the water, where the only sound you will hear is your own breath. 

This intro to SCUBA class will give you the opportunity to find out what SCUBA is all about. In this safe and secure environment, your dedicated and knowledgeable instructors will take you underwater where you will experience what most people never do. In this class you will learn how to set up and put on your equipment before you go for a dive.  Once underwater you will get a true feeling of what it is like to exist under the surface. A bar-b-que lunch is included, but bring your own (non-alcoholic) beverages!

If the "dive bug" bites you and you want to continue along the path to Open Water SCUBA Diver Certification, Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation will help you reach that goal.

Price:     

  • Adults: $129 per person
  • Children 10-15: $119 p.c.

  • Round trip transportation
  • Equipment, air and tanks
  • Lake fees
  • Instruction from a certified Master Diver
  • Barbeque dinner (drinks not included)

What To Bring:     

  • Swimsuit, Towel, Sunscreen, Sunglasses
  • Comfortable clothes (for transport)
  • Water (only carbonated water available for purchase on-site)
  • Euro for drinks
  • Military ID

Departure: 

  • Vans depart from Baumholder ODR at 8 a.m.
  • Pickup at Kaiserslautern will occur around 9 a.m.

Return:  Around 9 p.m.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations requested 48 hours prior to trip departure will receive a 90% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to departure will receive a 50% refund.
  • There are no refunds for no-shows or cancellations made less than 12 hours prior to departure.
     
  • In the event that a customer cancellation results in a fee charged to Outdoor Recreation, regardless of the date of or reason for that cancellation, the total sum of those fees will be passed along to the customer.
