This Halloween season, KMC OnStage Theater brings to life Sweeney Todd, a bloody theatrical treat that won 8 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, in its Broadway debut. Featuring the most chilling soundtrack in the history of the stage, this masterpiece has thrilled and delighted audiences the world over.
The play opens as the title character makes his return to Victorian London, after being framed for a crime and unjustly exiled. His goal? Vengeance against the coniving judge who set him up in order to take Sweeney Todd's beloved wife as his own. Todd partners with the quirky owner of a failing pie shop, opens a barber shop above her bakery, and creates an oddly successful enterprise built on carnage and fueled by revenge. Prepare to be shocked and awed at every gory turn of this fantastically twisted and tragically romantic tale.
