Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation and Baumholder Outdoor Recreation have teamed up to make it even easier for you plan your 2024/2025 winter sports season. The same ski trips begin at your choice of either Smith or Pulaski Barracks, and an early bird discount minimizes your costs.

At the base of three famous mountains, the Jungfrau ski region offers over 200 kilometers of skiing and snowboarding in distinctly different areas.  Grindelwald/First ski area is known for adrenaline and adventure, featuring not just prepared trails, freestyle parks and off-piste skiing and snowboarding but also offering one of the longest sled runs in the world, winter walking trails and the First Flyer zipline.  Across the valley, the Kleine Scheidegg ski area offers the classic European ski experience to everyone, regardless of ability level.  Even non-skiers can enjoy the famous Jungfrau mountain by taking the train to the "Top of Europe".  What could make this trip to the Jungfrau Region even better?  On Saturdays, children under 16 can ski and snowboard for free with an adult, making your family's Jungfrau passes a lot less expensive.

When you go skiing or snowboarding with Army Outdoor Recreation you leave all your concerns behind. No skills?  No problem! Beginner ski and snowboard lessons are often available from PSIA/AASI trained instructors! No gear? No fear! Army Outdoor Recreation offers free equipment rentals on all ski trips!  Get sized for equipment one time and you can use that information to make equipment reservation whenever you sign up for a ski trip.  You will find your gear ready for you when you arrive to check in for the trip. Nothing could be easier!

Adventures begin here! Whether you board the bus in Kaiserslautern or Baumholder, you will enjoy skiing or snowboarding in the Jungfrau Ski Region when your ski trip begins at Army Outdoor Recreation!
