Spend a relaxing day in historic Heidelberg.

Heidelberg is a popular tourist destination due to its romantic cityscape, Heidelberg Castle, the Philosophers’ Walk and the Baroque old town.  Once you cross the old stone bridge, or walk through Karlstor, you can admire the architectural diversity along the main street, perhaps stopping at a café for ice cream or snacks.  Climbing the hill to Heidelberg Castle, you can visit one of the most important Renaissance structures north of the Alps.  Although destroyed in the 18th century, the ruins are partially rebuilt still contain the Heidelberg Tun, an enormous wine barrel capable of holding over 57,000 gallons of wine. On the other side of the Neckar River, you can hike the Philosophers’ Walk on the Saint’s Mountain which offers scenic views of the old town and castle, the 11th century Monastery of St. Michael, the smaller Monastery of St. Stephen.  Further up the mountain you will find the “Pagan’s Hole” and the remains of a 4th century Celtic Hill Fort.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations requested 48 hours prior to trip departure will receive a 90% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to departure will receive a 50% refund.
  • There are no refunds for no-shows or cancellations made less than 12 hours prior to departure.

In the event that a customer cancellation results in a fee charged to Outdoor Recreation, regardless of the date of that cancellation, the total sum of those fees will be passed along to the customer.
