It is only a 2 hour flight from Frankfurt to Barcelona. Once you land and take a short transfer to your 4 star wellness hotel and spa on the promenade in Santa Susanna, you will find yourself across the street from the 75 meter wide gold sand beach, ready to start soaking up the sun. Santa Susanna and the Costa Brava region offer tons of recreational options, ranging from snorkeling and scuba diving to sea kayaking, or just laying on the beach, and the extra time made available by flying to Barcelona will let you participate in all of them! Once the sun sets, there is plenty of party going on in Santa Susanna where you have your choice of countless bars, restaurants, and discos. An optional day trip to and guided tour of Barcelona is also included, after which you can return to the beautiful beach, or remain in Barcelona for the evening.

Thursday: Check in

Flying to Spain will significantly shortens your travel time. You will be on the ground in Barcelona before lunch and your four star hotel and spa complex is located on Santa Susanna’s beachfront promenade and includes daily breakfast and dinner, allowing you to make the most of your 4th of July Weekend!l 

Friday: Barcelona

Friday features an optional tour of Barcelona. Since its redevelopment in preparation for the 1992 Olympic Games, Barcelona has become 12th most popular city destination in the world and the 5th most popular city in Europe for travelers. From the Columbus monument at the waterfront to the lookout terraces at the mountain top Parc Montjuic, the Catalan capital is packed with UNESCO World Heritage sites, churches and historic buildings. Ornate and fantastic Catalan Modernista style buildings can be seen throughout the city, the most famous of which were designed and built by Antoni Gaudi, including the world famous Sagrada Familia church.

Saturday and Sunday: Free days

You will have a great 4th of July Weekend exploring the beaches and promenade of Santa Susanna. Whether you spend your time playing in or on the waters of the Mediterranean Sea or stay inside the hotel complex enjoying its pools and spas, your weekend is likely to involve water in one or more ways. Throughout this coastal region you can find JetSkis, paddleboards, sea kayaks, boat trips, SCUBA diving and much more. The promenade and waterfront are home to countless restaurants and bars and offer varied entertainment options for everybody, while the nearby train station will allow you to return to Barcelona or to visit the medieval village of Girona with a short train ride.

Monday: Return to Germany

After a relaxed breakfast and final day along the beaches of Santa Susanna, an evening flight will return you to Frankfurt in just 2 hours. Once you collect your bags, an included airport shuttle will return you to your starting point.

Deadlines and Discounts: 

  • Lufthansa ticketing deadline is Thursday, April 24
  • Airline rebooking fees may apply to all registrations made on or after Friday, April 25

  • Around midnight to Wagon Wheel Theater

Cancellation Terms: 

  • 10% cancellation fee for all cancellations made on or prior to Friday, April 11
  • 35% cancellation fee for all cancellations made on or after Saturday, April 12
  • 50% cancellation fee for all cancellations made on or after Thursday, May 15 
  • 80% cancellation fee for all cancellations made on or after Friday, May 23
  • 95% cancellation fee for all cancellations made on or after Friday, May 30
  • 100% cancellation fee for all cancellations made on or after Friday, June 6
  • In the event that a customer cancellation results in a fee charged to Outdoor Recreation, regardless of the date of or reason for that cancellation, the total sum of those fees will be passed along to the customer.
