Labor Day Observance & Closures

In observance of the federal holiday, Labor Day on Monday, September 1, some Family and MWR facilities may be closed or operating with modified hours. Please refer to the facility pages for hours of operation. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, September 2.

Labor Day became a federal holiday in 1894 to honor the contributions and achievements of American workers, following growing recognition of the labor movement’s role in shaping fair working conditions across the nation.
